Fujifilm has today announced the Fujifilm FinePix S5 Pro, or at least the development of it, due to be available in ‘early 2007′. The S5 Pro features the same SuperCCD SR design sensor although now called ‘SR Pro’, it features 6.17 million ‘S photodiodes’ (normal DR) and 6.17 million ‘R photodiodes’ (highlight DR) for a total photodiode count of 12.34 million. Other headline improvements are the new body (which is obviously based on the Nikon D200) and all that includes; better AF, i-TTL flash, metering, Lithium-Ion battery. Other improvements include better DR control, up to ISO 3200 sensitivity and LAN / WiFi accessories.

Back in May 2001 Olympus began to make noises about a professional five megapixel Four Thirds format digital SLR, two years after that in June 2003 they revealed the E-1. After much hinting, several ‘accidental’ leaks and some four and a half years, Olympus has today announced the ten megapixel E-3 professional digital SLR. We had been promised an E-3 before embargo to enable us to produce a preview but that for reasons best known to Olympus this fell through so all we can provide you with is a press release, specs and a couple of images. TmoNews is claiming that the TouchWiz-enabled Samsung Behold is scheduled for a November 10 launch on T-Mobile, and by golly, with the lookalike Delve now out and about, we hope they’re right. Notable (read: awesome) features on the Behold allegedly include user-adjustable touch sensitivity, a 5-megapixel cam, GPS, and — unlike that ZN5 that just launched — 3G data. That’s an especially good thing considering the full HTML browser and a disappointing dearth of WiFi, we reckon. It’s no smartphone, but for the T-Mobile types looking for just a little (okay, a lot) more style than the G1’s putting up, this might just be what the doctor ordered.
