Fujifilm has today announced the FinePix Z3 Zoom camera sporting 5.1 million pixels, ISO up to 1600 and a 36-108mm lens. A marginal update to the Z2, the Z3 adds Intelligent-Flash mode and a higher resolution 2.5-inch screen. The Z3 will be available in silver, metallic blue and light pink. Fujifilm FinePix F20 Zoom
Fujifilm has today announced its ‘little brother’ to the popular and impressive FinePix F30 Zoom. The new FinePix F20 carries the same 6.3 megapixel SuperCCD chip found in the F30 providing it with impressive an high sensitivity of up to ISO 2000 at full resolution. Design wise the F20 is clearly based around the F30′s body with a few design tweaks. The only specification differences we could make out are that the F20 is slightly slimmer and lighter, has different long exposure times, a lower resolution LCD monitor and a different battery. Fujifilm has today announced the new FinePix S6500fd, the suffix stands for one of the S6500′s new technologies, Fujifilm’s “face detection”. This appears to be designed to locate faces in the frame (up to ten faces) for auto focus, metering and subject tracking. According to the press release Fujifilm’s hardware implemented Face Detection technology needs just 40ms to locate a face in the frame. (continue reading…)
Fujifilm FinePix S9100
Fujiflm has announced a minor upgrade to the S9500 (aka S9000) in the shape of the FinePix S9600 (to be known as the FinePix S9100 in the USA). The new model is claimed to offer better low light performance, faster operation and improved image quality thanks to a new processor. Externally almost indentical to its predecessor, the S9600 has the same resolution (9 million pixels) and the same 10.7x optical zoom. (continue reading…)
Fujifilm FinePix S5 Pro
Fujifilm has today announced the Fujifilm FinePix S5 Pro, or at least the development of it, due to be available in ‘early 2007′. The S5 Pro features the same SuperCCD SR design sensor although now called ‘SR Pro’, it features 6.17 million ‘S photodiodes’ (normal DR) and 6.17 million ‘R photodiodes’ (highlight DR) for a total photodiode count of 12.34 million.
