“You’re not tweeting anymore!”
Barclays has produced this fascinating infographic that shows how Twitter was a hot-bed of activity for football fans during the transfer deadline day shenanigans.
Analysiing Twitter traffic using Sysomos’ Media Analysis Platform (MAP) Barclays looked at which teams and cities were tweeting the most and trending on the Twitter-sphere throughout January. In total, almost a million tweets about the Barclays Premier League and its clubs occurred during the month.
Not surprisingly, Liverpool FC dominated with 301,169 tweets as Andy Carroll and Fernando Torres came and went from the “real” club.
